On their journey through the Bahamas the RIver People stopped by the Versailles Gardens and snapped this photo. The statue actually appears 33 seconds into a video that for Lenny Kravits would be an equivilent of a sports ROOKIE card for his carrier.
It was was at the Versailles Gardens in 1989 when Lenny Kravits had chosen to shoot "I Build This Garden For Us" from his debut album entitled "Let Love Rule" This album possessed truly spiritual lyrics and unifying sentiments at a time when gangster rap was just emerging onto the charts. Most impressive about that album? He plays ALL the instruments with the exception of sax and some solo segments.
Today Lenny is still working spiritual insight and influence into his music and has practically become an icon in todays industry. If all stop and take the same initiative to apply creativity to our lives, imagine how many gardens could fill our world.
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
In this garden
This lovely garden
I build a temple of love
Walk with the Father
Won't be a bother
To touch the Earth as it was
We'll farm the land each day
And in the sunshine we will play
Glory glory for the day He came
Our tears had gone away
We'll make love in the shade
And in the ocean we will bathe
Little fishies in the sea
Say hooray
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
In this garden
Our children will grow
Darling this is a must
We'll be so happy
Our little family
So full of love and trust
And darling when we're old
We'll close the gates and lock the door
Our love will never fade away
When it's pure it forever last
And darling when you're cold
I'll hold you tight and keep you warm
Little darlin' gonna make it through the storm
You'll never be alone
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
In this garden
They'll be no war
No racial prejudice
You'll be my brother
Of any color
You'll just be okay with us
We'll live each day in peace
In hope that we will one day reach
The rest of the world
When they are ready to be teached
The kingdom will come
Thy will will be done
On Earth as it is in heaven
I build this garden
I build this garden for us
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden, yeah
No war no more
Gonna build yeah
Yeah ouh.

A Moment of Independence
created on July 4, 2008 - Cambridge, MDIndependence comes in little moments for me these days.
A moment to pluck the worlds social issues out of my mind.
A moment to free my mind from the struggles of how to get by.
A moment the placement of a single flower pedal is my only goal.
A moment to find the the next splash of color needed for my piece.
A moment to be amazed at how my Higher Power provides it all.
A moment when the application and searching pays off.
A moment my soul smiles.
THAT moment I experience INDEPENDENCE.

WHY HATE? — Philosophy?
The "Why Hate" radar picked up the quote below on a post over at www.howardism.org.
"Philosophy is to be studied, not for the sake of any definite answers to its questions, since no definite answers can, as a rule, be known to be true, but rather for the sake of the questions themselves."
— Bertrand Russell

Acceptance
Self acceptance is being loving and happy with who you are NOW. Some call it self-esteem, others self-love, but whatever you call it, you'll know when your accepting yourself cause it feels great. Its an agreement with yourself to appreciate, validate, accept and support who you are at this very moment, even those parts you’d like to eventually change. Now, if you will excuse me, that garden ain't gonna build itself. Gotta get on meh overalls and get ta gardening. Keep yer eye out for that statue.

Just had a bunch of these produced so that EVERYONE can join the movement. Printed far more of them this time with a couple modifications. Now they read "WHY HATE? — GO CREATE!!" and they got a sweet graffiti drip going on in the background.

Schools Out!

This year meh son's mother bought him a lunch box so lunch bags simply did not get created at the pace they were last year. Last week we couldn't find the box so along came 3 new bags. His classmates all wanted one and knowing his past experience he told them "Don't worry, everyone will get one". Problem: This was the LAST WEEK of school. Cuz I luv the kid I somehow managed to crank out 16 more bags for his classmates for that last day of school.
