Independence comes in little moments for me these days.
A moment to pluck the worlds social issues out of my mind.
A moment to free my mind from the struggles of how to get by.
A moment the placement of a single flower pedal is my only goal.
A moment to find the the next splash of color needed for my piece.
A moment to be amazed at how my Higher Power provides it all.
A moment when the application and searching pays off.
A moment my soul smiles.
THAT moment I experience INDEPENDENCE.

Building Gardens

On their journey through the Bahamas, the RIver People stopped by the Versailles Gardens and snapped this photo for the Yhate.

It was this location that Lenny Kravits shot the video "I Build This Garden For Us" in 1989 for his debut album "Let Love Rule". There are few songs that could be more appropriate for Yhate. Oh, CHECK THIS — drums, guitar, base and lead vocals are all LENNY!!

Now, if you will excuse me, that garden ain't gonna build itself. Gotta get on meh overalls and get ta gardening. Keep yer eye out for that statue.

Schools Out!

This year meh son's mother bought him a lunch box so lunch bags simply did not get created at the pace they were last year. Last week we couldn't find the box so along came 3 new bags. His classmates all wanted one and knowing his past experience he told them "Don't worry, everyone will get one". Problem: This was the LAST WEEK of school. Cuz I luv the kid I somehow managed to crank out 16 more bags for his classmates for that last day of school.

Thought meh cat was the only one that prefers this kind of water over the fresh stuff in her bowl. This vid speaks to meh symbolically as well. A moment may be tragic at first experience but when we learn that we'll be fine in the end, it could actually be worth repeating.

"I'm Looking Over....

... a four leaf clover that I've overlooked before". Every morning I manage to find a four leaf clover in a particular area of my yard. Of course this means I've developed a reluctance to mow the lawn in that spot in fear of loosing out on the lucky clovers I might not have spotted. Eventually it becomes harder and harder to harvest what luck may be captured out there in my yard.

The solution is quite simple — cut away what can no longer grow so that a new batch of luck can grow into my life.

Why Hate Hibernating?

Over the holidays you'll notice a drop of posts and creative endeavors on the Yhate blog.
Seems time for blogging is hard to find in the days of observation and family. But worry not, although temporarily sluggish the posts may be, creativity and the quest for a HATE FREE society still lives and is soon to be re-awakened.

Our hopes are great but our goals are simple. Yhate continues to pose the question and seek solutions, "WHY HATE? — Go Create!" Along with the HATE FREE BLOG awards, we have many new ideas to implement for the year to come. If it's just to read this blog or to help infect the world with our propaganda, be involved.
