Nature Peace 11

"The world is at war and the human race is in travail and mortal combat. The dark night of hate hath taken over, and the light of good faith is blotted out. The peoples and kindreds of the earth have sharpened their claws, and are hurling themselves one against the other. It is the very foundation of the human race that is being destroyed. It is thousands of households that are vagrant and dispossessed, and every year seeth thousands upon thousands of human beings weltering in their life-blood on dusty battlefields. The tents of life and joy are down. The generals practice their generalship, boasting of the blood they shed, competing one with the next in inciting to violence. ‘With this sword,’ saith one of them, ‘I beheaded a people!’ And another: ‘I toppled a nation to the ground!’ And yet another: ‘I brought a government down!’ On such things do men pride themselves, in such do they glory! Love--righteousness--these are everywhere censured, while despised are harmony, and devotion to the truth."

The Fart Face

If you are amidst a conversation with a group of poeple and someone says something that's out of line and puts them into the category of a HATER, you can approach the situation with one of the following strategies:

1. Hate along with them. Course this will not make you very well liked among many others.

2. Haul off and hitt'em. Doing this feels justifiably rewarding, until you realize that you've just crossed over the land of Hater Haters, which at times can make you look twice as much as a Hater than the Hater himself.

(Or Use The ¿Y-Hate? approach...)
3. As soon as they say something hateful, simply look at them and without saying a word, give the look as if someone had just farted and continue on. In this case, the Hater is usually too self involved to notice that you are in fact putting him down, but often it begins a process in witch the Hater begins to self analyze what really stinks. Himself.

Who stole me lucky hate symbol?

In 2000, Anti-PC hysteria had reached new heights on Boston's South Side. An urban legend running wild in Southie is that the Boston Housing Authority had banned shamrocks in the projects -- as a hate symbol.

A weary BHA spokesperson wrote that the supposed ban "is totally and completely false and has been fueled by very biased and incorrect reports," reported SALON. But that didn't stop newspapers from the South Boston Tribune to the Dublin Tribune from reporting the myth as fact.

The story apparently got started during a diversity training session, when somebody suggested non-Irish people -- especially Puerto Ricans -- might not appreciate the shamrock symbols plastering public housing in the traditionally Irish neighborhood. After a BHA staffer failed to deny the supposed shamrock ban, the story blew up -- and hasn't been quelled since.

The Value of Love

The value of love will always be stronger than the value of hate. Any nation or group of nations which employs hatred eventually is torn to pieces by hatred...
